Buehner Block Company formally started in 1937 by the Buehner Brothers. Our facility is located in the heart of the Salt Lake Valley, just off the freeway and ten minutes from the downtown area. We are Utah's longest established CMU producer and through our history of growth within our community have enjoyed a reputation of integrity, quality, and excellence.

    Through out the world builders continue to develop construction systems using concrete masonry units. Concrete masonry is described as the perfect building material. The rich heritage of its components; limestone, and graded aggregates, work in harmony to provide the epitome of ideals for enduring quality. This combination if formed, molded and finished to the imagination of professional designers and artisans of the construction industry. The current technology of admixtures and specific cements make concrete more than a product which continues to harden with time, but adds limitless design flexibility and aesthetics.

    Our plant has been modernized and was the worlds first fully automated facility with a 24-hour capacity of 68,000 8" block and a first in first out aggregate inventory system. We use computerized batching control of formula cements and aggregates and complete machine forming and handling. Low pressure steam curing and finish packaging, with banded cubes of product leaving the plant on a roller conveyor all help with our trademark quality.
